It's happened, our barrel-agee bacon and honey rum is finally ready to rock your world!
By now, you might have realised that we purchased a few barrels and have been putting anything we can into them, short of the kitchen sink (it just wouldn't fit)
This time, it was our gooey honey and vanilla rum. It didn't take long for the barrel to add some wonderful woody notes to the spirit, specifically two months.
Once out, we wanted to add something more, we felt that the spirit wasn't quite finished yet. We then realised that we had been spending far to much time with the barrels and had totally forgotten about bacon, so much so that we were considering raspberries and other nonsense. It was a sad moment and absolutely needed to be rectified.
So, what does it taste like? Frazzles and honey. Is it smooth? Absolutely. How should it be served? Neat, on the rocks, as an old fashioned or as an eye shot.
We're incredibly proud of this monstrosity and hope that you enjoy drinking it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.
