After months of patiently waiting for the infusion process to complete, our very own ode to a Navarrese staple is finally out!
For those who are unfamiliar with the liqueur, Pacharán is a sloe-flavoured liqueur commonly drunk in Navarre, and other areas of Spain. It is usually served as a digestif either chilled or on ice.
‘Patxaran’ is the Upper Navarrese form of ‘basaran’,‘basa’ meaning wild and ‘aran’ meaning sloe.
Our recipe follows the classic Spanish ingredients list and infusion method: Sloe berries, star anise, cinnamon and coffee spend 8 months in a distilled anise liqueur before bottling.
